26.10.06 Welcome to the jungle
Some of our new work for the BFI (British Film Institute) is starting to come out - here's a sneak preview of the campaign image for the re-release of The Asphalt Jungle by John Huston. A noir classic, with a scene stealing cameo from a very young Marilyn Monroe.

10.10.06 An unexpected bonus
johnson banks won two awards at last night's Benchmarks awards, which was unexpected. The Benchmarks are a newish scheme set up to celebrate brand and identity projects that cross-over into different areas and applications, which suits the kind of things we do. The two jobs that won were for the Pleasure Beach, Blackpool, and Think London. (We'd like to credit all of Circus's hard work on the strategy side of the Think London project too).

05.10.06 Have lens flare, will travel
Our new identity for the BFI (British Film Institute) is beginning to make its way into the public consciousness. The design is based on the idea of a lens flare - this struck us a suitably cinematic idea (and one that lent itself to very interesting applications). Below you can see stills from the animation which tops and tails their films and DVDs from now on, and an illustration of the four different angles of the symbol that we've developed. There'll be more to show later in the year when their new building opens on the Southbank.
